Preventing and Building Resilience Against Anti-Gender Ideologies and Far-Right Extremism

Parandalimi dhe Rritja e Reziliencës ndaj Ideologjive Anti-gjinore dhe Ekstremit të Djathtë

About Project

This project aims to investigate and address the impact of gender-based hate speech and anti-gender narratives, which are often promoted and reinforced by far-right groups across media platforms and social networks. Through critical analysis of media content and public discourse, the project seeks to uncover how these ideologies contribute to the normalization of symbolic and physical violence against women, LGBTQ+ communities, and human rights activists.

The main objectives of the project include:

  1. Raising public awareness about the dangers of anti-gender ideologies, particularly those targeting journalists and activists reporting on gender equality and human rights issues.
  2. Engaging security institutions in recognizing and addressing anti-gender ideologies as part of far-right extremism, and strengthening preventive mechanisms to avoid their escalation into violent acts against journalists and activists

This project is implemented in the framework of the Project “Strengthen the Role and Capacities of Investigative Journalism in Kosovo” (Contract No. 2024/461-340) funded by the European Union represented by the European Commission  and implemented by BIRN Kosovo.

Implementation period: 01 August 2025 - 31 May 2026
