KCSS holds discussion on school safety at “Ulpiana” Gymnasium in Lipjan
The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) held its next discussion at “Ulpiana” Gymnasium in Lipjan as part of the project “A Generation at Risk: Addressing Youth Crime and School Safety through Evidence-Based Research and Reform.”
The discussion was based on findings from the student questionnaire conducted within the school, which highlighted several key challenges related to youth safety and wellbeing in school environments.
The findings show that conflicts are often linked to social media, bullying related to physical appearance, and peer pressure. Students also emphasized the need for stronger psychological support, increased supervision, and more trusted reporting mechanisms.
During the discussion, participants stressed the importance of creating a safer and more inclusive environment for young people through interinstitutional cooperation and evidence-based preventive approaches.
This activity was conducted within the framework of the project “A Generation at Risk: Addressing Youth Crime and School Safety through Evidence-Based Research and Reform,” implemented by KCSS in cooperation with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), with support from Open Society Foundations – Western Balkans.
