KCSS CONTINUES LECTURES ON PREVENTING VIOLENT EXTREMISM IN PRIZREN HIGH SCHOOLS

QKSS VAZHDON LIGJËRATAT PËR PARANDALIM TË EKSTREMIZMIT TË DHUNSHËM NË SHKOLLAT E PRIZRENIT

Kosovar Centre for Security Center (KCSS) on 24th of November 2016, has organized debates with students of two high schools in Prizren. The aim of those debates is to inform students and discuss with them on related topics on prevention of violent extremism and radicalism in Kosovo. KCSS has talked with among 100 students from the high school such as: Gymnasium “Gjon Buzuku ” and the medicine school “Luciano Motroni” in Prizren, about extremism in general, its forms and risks which citizens may be faced. Among other things there were discussed with them about the role of tolerance, diversity and human rights and about their education as well. We have asked students about their views on violent extremism and radicalism, how they see this phenomenon, about their role in community.

These debates are organized in the framework of KCSS programme to counter violent extremism supported by the US Embassy in Prishtina, a project that aims to engage citizens' and community of 11 Municipalities of Kosovo in countering and preventing violent extremism and radicalization in Kosovo.
