KCSS organizes roundtable discussion on critical infrastructure protection in Kosovo

During the roundtable discussion, KCSS researchers presented the main findings from two recent reports published in the framework of the Emerging Threats Programme. Additionally, a panel discussion was also conducted with Hafize Bajrami, Head of the Cyber Defense Section at the Ministry of Defense, and Dr. Blerton Abazi, Dean of the Department of Information Systems at UBT College.

KCSS researcher Donika Elshani and Jon Limaj presented the reports ““What can Kosovo learn from the Baltic states’ approach to critical infrastructure protection?” and “How can we leverage European practices to enhance critical infrastructure identification in Kosovo?”, respectively.

Some of the topics discussed with the invited panelists included the role of the Ministry of Defense in critical infrastructure protection, challenges and opportunities in building public-private partnerships in this sector, and regional cooperation.

Representatives from various institutions participated in the roundtable, including the Ministry of Defense, the Kosovo Security Force, the Information Society Agency, Telekom Kosovo, as well as representatives from the French and British Embassies in Kosovo.
