The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) is participating in the China in the World (CITW) 2026 Summit, taking place in Taipei, Taiwan, from 6–8 July 2026. The annual summit brings together researchers, civil society representatives, journalists, and policy experts from around the world to discuss the global impact of China's growing influence and exchange ideas on strengthening democratic resilience.
The Summit’s opening ceremony featured remarks by Taiwan Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim, who highlighted the importance of international cooperation, democratic resilience, and strengthening partnerships among countries and societies committed to protecting democratic values in an increasingly challenging global environment.
Representing KCSS at the summit is Ramadan Ilazi, Head of Research, who is attending the event as part of the international network of researchers and practitioners working on issues related to foreign influence, disinformation, security, and democratic governance.
While in Taipei, Mr. Ilazi will also participate in the International Republican Institute (IRI) Countering Foreign Authoritarian Influence Global Influencer Forum 2026, held on 9 July. The forum brings together civil society leaders, academics, journalists, and policy experts to discuss emerging trends in foreign authoritarian influence and practical approaches to strengthening democratic resilience.
KCSS values opportunities to engage with international partners and contribute insights from Kosovo and the Western Balkans to global discussions on democracy, security, and resilience.
