In the framework of the project titled: “Analyzing the reintegration process of returned foreign fighters back to the community”, on 10th of December 2019, Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) has organized a focus group in the municipality of Kacanik.
The aim of this activity is to analyze the reintegration of the returned foreign fighters process and its challenges in Kosovo. Through this activity, the participants that consisted of Kosovo Police, municipality, local NGO-s and community representatives, discussed on the current state of the reintegration process and Kacanik municipality communities readiness to accept the returnees back to the community.
The project activities also contribute in the implementation of the action plan of the national strategy for preventing and countering of violent extremism and radicalization that leads to terrorism. The project is supported by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and is implemented in the municipality of Gjilan, Kacanik, Prizren, Prishtina and Mitrovica.
