Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) today, on 14th of March 2017, has organized next debate ëith students of three schools in Skenderaj Municipality such as: Gymnasium “Hamez Jashari”, Technical school “Luigj Gurakuq” and Professional school.
The aim of those debates ëas to inform and explain students about the causes and consequences of violent extremism and radicalism in the community where they live. Ëe have asked students about the vieës toëard this phenomenon, how do they understand it, and about the risks they may be faced with. This debate emphasized the need of clear information should be given to those students. In some cases we have noticed that they have misunderstandings regarding to violent extremism. In some points they were aware of being victims of social media such as Facebook. In this term we have tried to explain them how to take steps in preventing from violent extremism.
Asked whether they are facing with any concern, they expressed that in their schools it is significant discrimination among the students in terms of social status. At the end of the debate we have shared them some brochures from where they can be more informed about this topic.
