Security and Foreign Policy module aims to offer a special program of non-formal education on the security aspects of the EU integration, foreign policy and regional cooperation in the security sector. About Project

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) is part of the European Integration School coordinated and supported by Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS).

KCSS is organizing the module on Security and Foreign Policy within this program for the fourth consecutive year. The workshop curriculum has been developed based on the expertise and research areas of the KCSS team and its regional partners.

KCSS will be responsible for organizing the module for Security and Foreign Policy within this program. This project is being supported and led by the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS) in the framework of the EU integration programme.

Security and Foreign Policy module aims to offer a special program of non-formal education on the security aspects of the EU integration, foreign policy and regional cooperation in the security sector.  Moreover, the overarching goal is to contribute at deepening the level of knowledge and awareness of the participants of the School for European Integration vis-a-vis developments in security sector reform in Kosovo, integrity, security institutions and regional cooperation in the field of security - an integral part of talks between Kosovo and Serbia.

This year, KCSS will focus on the security aspects of the Stabilisation Association Agreement between Kosovo and the EU. The workshop will gather all relevant stakeholder to discuss the legal basis that the SAA provides to increase participation of Kosovo in the EU led peace keeping missions. In addition to the module, KCSS will be publishing a research paper exploring the ways of cooperation between Kosovo and the EU in the security sector, and the possibilities to turn Kosovo from security consumer to a security provider.
