About Project

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) with the support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiative (CFLI) from August 2018, will start implementing the new project “Increasing the trust and dialogue between the Kosovo non- majority communities and law enforcement institutions in Kosovo”.

The goal of the project is to foster communication between communities and Kosovo Police in northern part of the country. Specifically the project aims to:

• To increase the trust of the non-majority communities in Kosovo towards Kosovo Police;

To facilitate the dialogue between the local communities and the Kosovo Police;

To identify and assess the basic security and safety concern of non-majority communities in Kosovo and advocate for addressing of those concerns;

The project will be implemented in the municipality of Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok and Leposavic and will address two CFLI thematic priorities: Inclusive governance, including diversity, democracy, human rights and the rule of law and Peace and security, with a focus on conflict prevention and building peace.
