Kosovar Centre for Security Studies with the support of the NATO Public Division Diplomacy is organizing a study visit in the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The visit is taking place in the NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
The aim of this visit is to bring together ten representatives coming from the civil society sector, media and academia and the key NATO representatives to discuss and share their insights on relevant issues related to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
During the two day visit, the group has been briefed by special representatives, heads of missions and delegations to discuss a wide-range of topics starting from global security challenges and threats in the post Warsaw Summit period. The main topics discussed during the study visit were relations between EU and NATO, Russia and NATO, Middle East operation followed by discussion with the Western Balkans perspectives and challenges towards NATO membership. A special focus was given to the discussions over the NATO operations with special regards to KFOR and the NATO advisory team in Kosovo. In addition, an informal roundtable on the regional cooperation in the Western Balkans with the participation of the NATO delegations of Albania and Croatia.
As a side event to this study visit, KCSS in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo has organized a cocktail reception with relevant NATO and EU delegations in Brussels, journalists and academics aiming to exchange ideas on Kosovo’s EU and NATO perspectives and regional security cooperation.
