ROUNTABLE: REGULATION AND INTERNATIONAL PRACTICE OF EMERGENCY MEASURES - LESSONS FOR KOSOVO

KCSS in partnership with DCAF Geneva, organized a round table on "Regulation and international practices of emergency measures - lessons for Kosovo".

Participants in this workshop had the opportunity to learn about the practices and regulations in this area at European level, presented by expert DCAF - Anna Khakee with the theme "Securing Democracy? Comparative Analysis of Emergency Powers in Europe ". This event was attended by representatives of various institutions of the security sector, such as the Kosovo Security Council, the Kosovo Police, Intelligence Agency, the Chairman of the Committee on Internal Affairs, Security and Surveillance Security Force Mr. Ahmet Isufi, vice-chairman of the Committee on Legislation, Mr. Behar Selimi, Kosovo Ombudsperson, representatives from the Ministry of Kosovo Security Force and representatives from the Emergency Management Agency.

KCSS is committed also in the future to organize similar meetings in order to provide its contribution in cooperation with partners (as DCAF, etc.). Therefore,KCSS thanks staff as well as institutional actors and in particular DCAF partners for cooperation in these activities.

The roundtable was held under the principle of Chatham House.
