KCSS today started a two-day training workshop on Radicalisation, Violent Extremism, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (R&R) of returnees.
The goal of this training is to increase the level of awareness among Kosovo Probation Services (KPS) officials about the process of radicalisation, individuals and groups at risk, informing them about the terms and terminologies of radicalisation, R&R, forms of radicalisation and violent extremism. Through this training KPS officials will learn more on how to communicate with formerly incarcerated individuals in a professional and objective manner, while not undermining their efforts on R&R. Gender-sensitivity will be a cross-cutting` theme throughout the training materials. Furthermore, the participants of the training will have the opportunity to learn more on how to monitor, communicate and what kind of approach they should use in their work with repatriated individuals from foreign conflict.
This activity is organized in the framework of the project ‘Increase capabilities of Kosovo Probation Service on countering terrorism and violent extremism’ supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and British Embassy in Pristina”.
