KCSS is continuing to organize meetings with women and representatives of institutions in the local communities of Kosovo. This time, the meeting was held in the Municipality of Rahovec, in cooperation with SHPG Hareja. The meeting was attended by The Mayor of the Municipality, other representatives of the Municipality, representatives from the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, representatives of the Islamic Community of this municipality and activists.
The need to establish the Coordination Mechanism Against Domestic Violence in this Municipality was emphasised, in order to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation to fight domestic violence. Moreover, similar to other municipalities, the needs of the institutions for human resources and suitable spaces to treat survivors of domestic violence in a dignified manner were highlighted.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Rahovec, among other things, emphasized the importance of increasing the employment of women in security and justice institutions, given that the representation of women in these institutions is very low in Rahovec.
Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) is supported by the program of the Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) 'EJA Kosovo', co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
