KCSS Researcher, Sofije Kryeziu delivered a presentation on the challenges and opportunities of Kosovo at the “International Young Leaders Summit 2016”, organized by the non-governmental organizations “ProActive Group Georgia” in cooperation with the Technical University of Georgia.

The summit has taken place from 08 until 13 June 2016 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Kryeziu’s presentation was focused primarily on the broader political challenges and opportunities, as well as on the security sector issues, economic issues, and educational challenges. During the presentation she highlighted the lack of international recognition, domestic political and security challenges of Kosovo, such as the lack of free movement, radicalism, economic challenges, educational challenges and Kosovo’s opportunities for overcoming these challenges.

Being the only participant from the Western Balkans, KCSS Researchers presentation has raised great interest among the participants of the Summit, who largely came from countries with whom Kosovo has not set any political relations. Participants of the Summit were representatives of countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Northern Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.
