Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) on 14th of September has organized a debate with Albanian’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ditmir Bushati.
The discussion was focused on Albania’s role in recent developments in the region and its role in reaching political and institutional stability. Mr. Bushati emphasized Albania’s views regarding latest developments, especially in relation with Kosovo and expressed their readiness to get engaged in processes that ensure stability in the region. The discussion continued with an analysis on the road forward of Western Balkans countries towards EU integration and the need for cooperation and standardization of the process among the Western Balkans countries on this matter. Mr. Bushati made a brief summary of the areas in which there is possibility and necessity for cooperation between Kosovo and Albania and the need for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries was emphasized.
The debate brought together representatives from Kosovo and Albania institutions, representatives from diplomatic missions in Kosovo and abroad and civil society representatives, who contributed to the discussion by giving their views on Albania’s role in the region.
