Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS), today on 6th of September 2018, has published the report “KOSOVO’S PARTICIPATION IN PEACEKEEPING MISSIONS: AN EFFECTIVE TOOL IN FOREIGN POLICY”, authored by the KCSS researcher Donika Marku.
This report presented the SAA as an opportunity for Kosovo's participation in the missions EU peacekeeping missions and operations. Furthermore, the report analysed the existing legal framework for such participation and the potential capacities and areas of expertise in which Kosovo can actively contribute. Following the presentation of the report, Deputy Minister of KSF, Burim Ramadani, spoke about KSF’s potential participation in Peacekeeping Missions, discussing the current capacities and preparations of the KSF.
After these two presentations, an open discussion followed where representatives of KSF, Ministry of Internal Affairs, security experts contributed to the discussion on participation in Peacekeeping Missions and Operations. The conference was also attended from representatives of Kosovo Police, KFOR, Civil Society and Media in the discussion table.
