On 3rd of December, The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) held a roundtable discussion with citizens in Gjilan. The roundtable discussed the positive perspectives and results of the implementation of the Kosovo-Serbia technical dialogue agreements. The panel included Mr. Arber Ismajli, Deputy Mayor of Municipality of Gjilan, Mrs. Jovana Radosavljević, Executive Director of New Social Initiative and Mr. Allen Meta from NGO D4D. The panelists shared their knowledge and thoughts on the applicability and prospects of these agreements, each coming from the field.

This roundtable gave participants the opportunity to discuss with the panelists regarding the arrangements that emerged from the Technical Dialogue, to ask questions and to express their views on the future of this extremely important process for Kosovo. Over 40 participants were present – amongst them students, researchers, representatives of civil society organizations, teachers and municipal officials.

Citizens stated that the lack of transparency of the Government about this dialogue has directly affected their lack of information about the agreements reached – agreements these from which they can directly benefit. They also thanked the KCSS for giving them the opportunity to learn more about this process and to talk about their observations and on the process.
