Kosovar Centre for Security Center (KCSS) on 22nd of November 2016, has organized debates with students of two high schools in Prizren. The aim of those debates is to inform students and discuss with them on related topics on prevention of violent extremism and radicalism in Kosovo. KCSS has talked with among 100 students from the economic high school “Ymer Prizreni” and the technical high school “11 marsi” in Prizren, about extremism in general, its forms and risks which citizens may be faced. Among other things there were discussed with them about the role of tolerance, diversity and human rights and about their education as well. We have asked students about their views on violent extremism and radicalism, how they see this phenomenon, about their role in community.
We have noticed that the youth in Prizren needs more education and cultural activities.
These debates are organized in the framework of KCSS programme to counter violent extremism supported by the US Embassy in Prishtina, a project that aims to engage citizens' and community of 11 Municipalities of Kosovo in countering and preventing violent extremism and radicalization in Kosovo.
