Today, KCSS representatives met with the mayor of the Municipality of Kamenica, Mr. Kadri Rahimaj, to introduce him to the FIERC project and kick off the establishment of Community Forums for Public Interest (CFPI).

Community Forums for Public Interest (CFPI) represent one of the main components of the FIERC project, which will serve as a platform for meetings between municipal structures and community representatives to discuss common issues and challenges of communities living in multi-ethnic municipalities. CFPIs also aim to facilitate communication between communities, and access to local decision-making authorities, with a primary focus on advancing inter-ethnic relations and cooperation.

During the meeting, the Mayor of this Municipality pledged to cooperate with the KCSS to establish the CFPIs and stated that encouraging and fostering inter-ethnic cooperation is a priority for this municipality. KCSS thanks the Municipality of Kamenica for its willingness to collaborate and dedication to strengthening interethnic relations.

This meeting was organized within the project Fostering Interethnic Relations and Cooperation (FIERC) implemented by Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in partnership with the New Social Initiative (NSI) funded by the Stability Pact Fund of the German Federal Foreign Office.
