Kosovar Centre for Security Studies has organized a two days’ workshop on the role of civil society in building integrity in the security sector. This workshop brought together representatives of Kosovo security institutions to discuss about “Good Governance in the Security Sector - The Role of Civil Society”.
This event has been organized in the framework of the KCSS program on Integrity in the security sector, supported by the Democratic Society Promotion (DSP) - financed by Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo (SCO-K) and managed by Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF).
Participants in the workshop were 25 representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Kosovo Security Force, the Security Council of Kosovo, the Kosovo Police, the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, Anti-Corruption Agency, ICITAP, OSCE and civil society organizations.
The data obtained from the sessions of this workshop will be used by KCSS to draft guidelines on the role of civil society in building integrity in the security sector in Kosovo. This marks the first step taken by a local organization to draft such a document that is focused on security institutions in Kosovo.
