The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) and the Kosovo Institute for Research and Analysis (KIRA) organized a workshop on digital storytelling which aimed to empower ethnically marginalized youth by highlighting the power of storytelling in advocacy, self-expression, and cultural preservation.
During this workshop, participants delved into the fundamentals of digital storytelling, learning its importance and how it serves as a platform for marginalized voices to advocate for change and express their experiences.
The workshop was focused on the critical importance of respecting personal and cultural narratives, ensuring ethical storytelling practices, and sharing sensitive information to protect both the storyteller and the audience. This workshop provided participants with practical skills and thoughtful insights into the transformative potential of digital storytelling. KCSS and KIRA continue to advocate for inclusive narratives and foster understanding across diverse communities.
