Dialogu për ndërtimin e paqes -12 dhjetor 2024

In an evening dedicated to reconciliation and understanding, in the framework of the Human Rights week, KCSS with the support of Youth Initiative for Human Rights, organized a discussion on peacebuilding. Organized in the framework of the project Ethnically Marginalized Youth Empowerment in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the event brought together a diverse audience of youth, activists, and peacebuilding practitioners.

The panel discussion featured five distinguished panelists and activists from different ethnic groups. Speakers shared their insights and experiences on the complexities of post-conflict healing and the importance of fostering dialogue in divided communities. The panel explored themes of historical memory, youth empowerment, and strategies for sustainable peace, highlighting the transformative power of open conversations.

A unique aspect of the event was a collective reading session, which took place in Bubble Pub after the discussion, where speakers and participants engaged with stories and narratives that illuminated the human impact of historical conflicts. This interactive activity encouraged empathy and understanding among attendees, further reinforcing the evening’s theme of dialogue and connection.

This event is part of a larger initiative aimed at empowering ethnically marginalized youth in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. By providing platforms for dialogue and creative exchange, the project seeks to build bridges across ethnic divides and nurture a new generation of peacebuilders.

This project is supported by the Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 (ReLOaD2), funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
