Shpat Balaj from KCSS has attended the regional conference “Youth Work fights back the Violent Extremism” which was held on 15 th and 16 th of February in Podgorica.
The aim of this conference was to identify the most effective practices in youth work in preventing violent extremism in the region. The conference was focused in the role of young people and civil society in preventing and countering the violent extremism phenomenon.
Besides the panel discussions, the participants worked in three different groups to provide recommendations for: Governmental level, international actors and Youth & Civil Society. This conference was organized by the consortium of Forum MNE from Montenegro, DamaD from Serbia, PRONI Center for Youth Work from Bosnia and Herzegovina, IDM Albania from Albania, FIQ Forum for Civic Initiatives from Kosovo and SEGA Coalition of youth organizations from Macedonia.
