The Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) in conjunction with KCSS organised a roundtable on “Security Vetting and Information Classification.” The roundtable was attended by Members of Parliament (relevant committees), representatives of KIA, KSF, Security Council. The roundtable provided insights on country approaches to security vetting based on the experience of EU and NATO countries. The participants discussed implications for accountability and the role of parliament committees.
Particular focus was on the state of play of security vetting in Kosovo. The KCSS policy paper on “Security Vetting” served as basis for discussions whereas the KCSS Director, Florian Qehaja provided the highlights of the report.
The roundtable was organised under the Chatham House rules.
