FOSTERING POLICY DIALOGUE IN THE WESTERN BALKANS

KCSS Researcher, Donika Emini has attended a study visit organized in the framework of the TRAIN Programme (Think Tanks providing Research and Advice through Interaction and Networking) funded by the Federal Foreign Office (Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe) and implemented by the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP).

The main purpose of the visit was the presentation of the research paper on "Migration: Implications in the Visa Liberalization Process for Kosovo" in the Commission and the European Parliament and other relevant stakeholders/policy makers. Whereas, the rest of the visit was focused on meetings and study visits to the European Parliament - Committee on Security, the Mission of Croatia and Germany to the EU, and the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Commission to discuss the enlargement of the EU in the Balkans Western. During this time, Donika also met with representatives and advisers working at the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels to discuss the Stabilization and Association Agreement, and Kosovo’s integration processes into the EU and NATO.
