KCSS RESEARCHER, FJOLLA RAIFI PARTICIPATED IN YOUNG WOMEN LEADERS FELLOWSHIP

KCSS Researcher, Fjolla Raifi has visited a couple of the USA states as part of the Open World Program. This Fellowship Program as such is organized for the first time in Kosovo and is strongly supported by the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo.

Fjolla was part of one of three groups that initially traveled to Washington DC for the introductory trainings and several meetings within the Congress of the USA. After a couple of days, as a delegate of ‘Young Women Leaders of Kosovo’ group, Fjolla had the opportunity to travel to North Carolina, state in the southern part of the U.S.A, where she participated in a number of trainings and meetings regarding leadership and managerial skills.

As part of numerous meetings, the delegates visited and exchanged experiences with the U.S.A Police Department in North Carolina, where Fjolla gave a presentation on the representation of women in security institutions in Kosovo and the development and implementation of NAP UNSCR 1325 – the case of Kosovo.
