Fuqizimi i Këshillit komunal për siguri në Bashkësi  (KKSB)

Kosovar Centre of Security Studies (KCSS) today, on February 13th, 2020, organized a discussion roundtable with members of the Municipal Community Safety Councils (MCSC), in the framework of the project “Building Resilience: Communities Against Violent Extremism” in the Municipality of Vitia.

Through this activity, KCSS aims to strengthen MCSC capacities in project-targeted municipalities through trainings, with the main focus on building and further developing MCSCs cooperation and communication with other relevant stakeholders.

During the project implementation period, three trainings will be conducted for each municipality. The trainings consist of various topics, such as: Defining, developing and maintaining partnerships with young people and other community-based actors; Preparing for regular meetings with the youth and the community; Develop and implement MCSC action plans, in collaboration with the youth and other local stakeholders; Community support in reintegration initiatives for citizens returning from foreign conflicts; How to address key security concerns at the local level; Increasing the role of youth and women in security initiatives at the local level, etc.

This activity is organized in the framework of the project “Building Resilience: Communities Against Violent Extremism” supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
