Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) on Tuesday, 23rd of July 2019 has held two focus groups in Municipality of Gjilan on "Promoting and Communicating the Benefits of the Dialogue Facilitated by the EU". One focus group had young participants and the other group consisted of people older than 30.
This focus group aimed to stimulate discussion and get the opinions of citizens about the real effect that dialogue has had on the lives of citizens. Apart from measuring the real effect that dialogue has had on citizens' lives, focus groups also aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of this process actively. Through this focus group, the KCSS learned how citizens are informed about Dialogue with Serbia, emerging technical agreements that affect freedom of movement of people and goods, the market, business and employment. Also, with this focus the KCSS also aimed to figure out what your thoughts are about the future of the dialogue, who is winning more and who is losing.
From these two focus groups, interesting data were collected that provide fruitful inputs that will assist the KCSS in its research component within the project "Promoting and Communicating Benefits of Dialogue Facilitated by the EU". Likewise, the participants were very pleased since they had the opportunity to discuss with the KCSS team more deeply about the technical dialogue approaches.
