On the occasion of NATO Summit when political and military leaders of NATO countries and its partners were gathered in the new NATO Headquarters in Brussels on 11-12 July, another major event alongside the Summit took place on main challenges of NATO Alliance.
The event titled “NATO Engages – The Brussels Summit Dialogue” assembled experts and leaders from the media, government, NGOs, politics, think tanks and business to discuss international security in the 21 st century. Being as one of the most significant gatherings of international security leaders in 2018, this public facing event engaged stakeholders beyond the traditional security and defense community in a discussion about the future of NATO.
Researcher of Kosovar Centre for Security Studies, Plator Avdiu, attended the two-day event jointly organized by the consortium of the Atlantic Council, German Marshal Fund, Munich Security Conference and Women in International Security in partnership with NATO. The event took place inside the official Summit security perimeter on the grounds of the new NATO Headquarters.
