The Security Sector in Kosovo after the Independence

This report aims to bring a brief evaluation of the development of security institutions in Kosovo, by providing a comparison of their roles and responsibilities during UNMIK period and the post-independence period. Findings presented in the report are grounded upon a qualitative assessment methodology, touching upon aspects of security institutions’ capacity consolidations, and challenges in preserving constitutionality and legality, underlining the role of security institutions.
