Workshop on Parliamentary Oversight of the Security Sector in Kosovo

Date: 23 – 24 May 2011

The second Workshop of Kosovo Young Faces Network (KYFN) organized by DCAF and KCSS will be held itoday in Hotel “AFA”, Prishtina. The second workshop is the follow up cycle of the KYFN 2011 and starts today (23 May) ending tomorrow (24 May) evening. This event will attend 12 participants’ young activists from civil society, public institutions of security sector, students and journalists, and also international and local security sector experts.

Main objective of the activity is:

• to provide in-depth knowledge and expertise on issues related to parliamentary oversight of the security sector;
• to provide participants with a platform for discussions on the relevance of the subject matter for the Kosovo context;
• to build participants’ technical skills related to policy paper drafting on issues related to security governance and oversight in Kosovo.
