Kosovo Centre for Security Studies (QKSS), in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) today have organized a joint conference "Five years of security sector in Kosovo - from infancy towards maturity ".
The conference served as an academic platform where were discussed strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of legislation of security institutions in the period from 2008-2013.
The conference was consisted of a panel where the prospect of assembly were discussed by Mr. Ahmet Isufi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Internal Affairs, Security and Oversight of KSF; executive's perspective by Mrs. Dhurata Sadiku-Hoxha, Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, as well as the importance of the international presence in Kosovo, contribution given by Mr. Reinhold Robbe, former member of the German Bundestag.
The conference was attended by a number of researchers, policy-makers, academics, representatives of the civil society and the media, who discussed issues related to the security sector.
