Project Summary
This project focuses on reviewing the the legal and practical challenges and obligations of the Kosovo Security Sector Institutions on inclusion and representation of the ethnic minorities in security institutions. These institutions include Kosovo Police (KP), Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA). This project looks specifically at conditions of recruitment, internal regulations from the Human Rights perspective specifically looking at the language barriers (Kosovo has 5 ethnic minority groups that are recognised constitutionally) and how is that regulated in the context of rights of the armed personnel (in KSF) and human rights in the case of KP and KIA.
