Countering violent extremism through communication

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) with the support of the US Embassy in Prishtina, is implementing the project: Countering violent extremism through communication.

The main goal of this project is countering violent extremism through communication. The aim of the project is increasing the professional capacities of journalists in local level on issues related to reporting of violent extremism, radicalization, and foreign fighters.

Objective 1: Increasing the professional capacities and knowledge of the media and journalists in local level on issues related to violent extremism, radicalization and terrorism

Objective 2: Organizing training for journalists of whole Kosovo municipalities on reporting, analyzing, of the issues related to violent extremism, radicalization and terrorism.

The aim of this project is to organize 6 professional training for journalists, on haw to analyze and report articles which are related with violent extremism, which will contribute in successful countering violent extremism and their recruitment process. The training will be organized in region of Peja, Gjilan,  Ferizaj, Prizren and Mitrovica. KCSS is aimed also to produce a toolkit on haw media could report cases of CVE
