The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) as of January 2025, has begun implementing the project: Promoting Peacebuilding in Kosovo through Interethnic Dialogue (PEAK) supported by the Rockefeller Brothers.
The project aims to advance peacebuilding in Kosovo by strengthening interethnic cooperation, particularly between Kosovo Albanians and Kosovo Serbs. It focuses on supporting the normalization of relations at the community level through inclusive, community-led initiatives and dialogue-based engagement.
Key Objectives
1. Enhance Interethnic Trust and Cooperation through joint activities and dialogue.
2. Promote Understanding of the Agreement on the Path to Normalization (APN) at the local level.
3. Strengthen the Role of Civil Society in peacebuilding and community engagement.
Core Activities
• Community Dialogue Sessions in multiethnic municipalities.
• Conflict Resolution Workshops for CSOs and local actors.
• Awareness Videos on normalization and interethnic cooperation.
• Kosovo Peacebuilding Report compiling best practices and challenges.
• Annual Policy Recommendation Letter targeting local and international stakeholders.
• Kosovo Peace and Democracy Summit (KPDS) as a recurring platform for dialogue and exchange.
Expected Outcomes
• Improved interethnic relations and public support for normalization.
