FURTHER SUPPORT TO KOSOVO INSTITUTIONS IN THEIR FIGHT AGAINST ORGANIZED CRIME AND CORRUPTION

About Project

The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in cooperation with the Business & Strategies in Europe S.A. (B&S Europe),  Northern Ireland Co-operation Overseas (NI-CO) and Kosovo Legal Services Company (KLSC) commenced a three year project titled “Further support to Kosovo institutions in their fight against organized crime and corruption”. This project is supported by the IPA funds of the EU Office in Kosovo.

The purpose of this project is to strengthen inter-institutional, regional and international cooperation mechanisms in prevention and fight of: 1) Organized crime; 2) Including money laundering; 3) Corruption and 4) Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism.

KCSS will be responsible for implementing the component 4 of the project by directly supporting the state authorities and other stakeholders in the implementation of strategy against CVE, and will contribute in the coordination and harmonization of activities at local and central level for prevention and countering of CVE. The municipalities targeted for the implementation of the activities on preventing and countering VE, include Gjilan, Ferizaj, Viti, Kacanik, Hani I Elezit, Vushtrri and Mitrovica.
