CONFERENCE: PROGRESS IN THE EUROPEANIZATION OF SECURITY SECTOR IN ALBANIA, KOSOVO AND MACEDONIA

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) organized a conference on 'Progress in the Europeanization of the Security Sector in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia'.

About Project

In this event, KCSS and FES, as leading partners, along with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) from Tirana and Analytica from Skopje have launched a joint report titled  ‘Progress in the Europeanization of the Security Sector in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia'. This report has been supported and financed by FES and assesses the progress in three states gravitating in the southern part of the Western Balkans: Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia in aspects related to the "Europeanization" of one of the most complexs sectors - security sector. The comparative analysis aims to compare the current state of the three respective states on the path towards EU membership.

This conference was attended by a wide range of experts, politicians, civil servants, representatives of the media, academics and civil society representatives who discussed issues related to the  ‘Europeanization' of the security sector in the respective countries.
