Kosovar Center for Security Studies (KCSS) together with German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) organizes a conference entitled "The context of the development of the Strategic Security Sector Review – civil society perspective" which will take place on Tuesday, 17th September 2013, at 10:00 am, at the Swiss Diamond Hotel, Prishtina.
This project is a joint activity of KCSS and GIZ to bring the process of Strategic Security Sector Review (SSSR) closer to civil society. The process of SSSR has started in the outset of 2012 aiming to analyze the current security sector in Kosovo, and potentially to propose a new architecture of security sector in Kosovo, parallel to change of environment and circumstances in Kosovo. The aim of this conference is to bring together experts, politicians, representatives of media and civil society in order to discuss the process of SRSS and the role of CSO’s in the process.
There will be discussions between panelists and participants. The findings of this discussion will be used as sources for the future research of the relevant partners. In this event, the KCSS will launch a policy brief on this topic.
