KCSS organized a Focus Group with representatives of institutions and experts of security sector in Kosovo on the occasion of the results and findings from the Kosovo Security Barometer Survey which were published on December 2012. The participants of this Focus Group included the representatives from Kosovo Police, Ministry of Kosovo Security Force, Civil Society, Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Academia, as well as Independent Experts of this field.
The Kosovo Security Barometer is designed as an innovative instrument being published twice in a year, which aims to represent citizens’ perceptions and opinions for the overall performance and challenges of the security and justice sectors in Kosovo.
This roundtable mainly focused on the citizens’ perceptions and trust on the security sector, justice, electoral system, the economic situation, as well as the external threats and challenges. Furthermore, the participants also discussed on finding the best ways to address citizens’ concerns towards security services as well as ways of cooperation with respective institutions. These discussions will be a very important asset to the detailed analysis of Kosovo Security Barometer, which will be published during May 2013.
