FOSTERING AN INCLUSIVE AND RESILIENT SECURITY SECTOR IN KOSOVO

ZHVILLIMI I GJITHËPËRFSHIRJES DHE QËNDRUESHMËRISË NË SEKTORIN E SIGURISË NË KOSOVË

Kosovar Centre of Security Studies (KCSS) has organized today, on January 21st ,2020 the first advocacy activity in the framework of the project “Fostering an Inclusive and Resilient Security Sector in Kosovo” in the Municipality of Graçanica. This project aims to identify the extent to which non-majority communities are included in the security sector, with particular emphasis in Kosovo Police and Kosovo Security Force.

Part of the discussion panel were:

Mr. Danić Saša, Deputy Major of the Municipality of Gracanica;

Mrs. Snežana Jovanović, Member of Municipality Council for Community Safety;

Mr. Mialjim Eminovoć, Chairman of the Community and Repatriation Committee;

Mr. Leutrim Ajeti, Official of the Municipal Office for Non-Majority Communities;

Mr. Plator Avdiu, Researcher at KCSS

The aim of the conference was to discuss the importance of inclusivity in the security sector to its audience, with focus on women and youth minority in Graçanica, improving the conditions within the institutions as well as promoting cooperation between non-governmental actors and security institutions.
