KCSS Executive Director, Florian Qehaja, was invited to Nepal by Berghof Foundation to provide the Kosovo expertise and practice in the process of drafting National Security Strategy. He delivered a presentation and contributed actively in the discussions in a two day round-table held from 13-15 of February 2012 in Pokhara. The roundtable was attended by the key political and security stakeholders of Nepal where the experience of Kosovo has been welcomed and appreciated. The discussions are expected to contribute in the upcoming endeavors of Nepal to draft its own security policy. Further, meetings were held in the Government of Nepal as well as political parties figures in the country.
KCSS Director also delivered a presentation in the roundtable organized by Berghof Foundation on 10 February 2012 in Brussels under the auspices of EPLO entitled “From Combatants to State-builders – Armed Groups in Participatory Peace Processes.” Florian focused on the issues of EU support to former combatants after the war in Kosovo through DDR & SSR assistance. The roundtable has been attended by the number of civil society and EU officials in Brussels.
