Within the “Building Resilience: Communities against Violent Extremism” project, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Kosovo, through the MATRA fund, Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) organized the last series of trainings for the members of Municipal Community Safety Councils (MCSC) of the municipalities of Podujeva, Prishtina, Fushe Kosova and Mitrovica.
The main focus of this training was strategic planning at the local level and the development of action plans with a focus on security issues and cooperation with other local actors. Participants were actively engaged in training through working groups through which they identified the key challenges of their communities, and through the development of action plans provided concrete activities to address those challenges.
Training participants included Police Station commanders, municipal representatives, community leaders, professors and teachers, as well as imams and leaders from religious communities.
