On February 26th, the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in cooperation with the Humani Centar Mitrovica organized the event “Increasing trust and dialogue between the Gracanica community and law enforcement institutions in Kosovo”

The aim of this activity was to increase trust and cooperation between citizens and state mechanisms in Kosovo, with the main focus in the municipality of Gracanica. Through such meetings, aim to enable citizens from these municipalities to become more familiar with the role of the Kosovo Police in improving their security and to emphasize the importance of cooperation between law enforcement institutions and local communities in achieving a safe and prosperous environment.

This event gathered citizens from Gracanica, representatives from civil society organizations, media, Kosovo Police and embassies. The citizens had a chance to discuss various concerns regarding their safety and security. Moreover, they identified the measures that the Kosovo Police should take to improve the safety of local citizens.

This activity is organized in the framework of the project "Increasing the trust between Kosovo Police among Serbian community in Kosovo" supported by The Balkan Trust for Democracy.
