Vese Kelmendi, Researcher from KCSS, attended the International Conference: "Countering Violent Extremist Narratives and Combating Incitement: The role of Gender” organized by Hedyah and UN Women in Abu Dhabi on April 16 to 18, 2018. In this conference, it was discussed about the role of women in preventing violent extremism and their role in creating counter-narratives against extreme group propaganda.
KCSS presented their work with women in preventing violent extremism in grass-root level and provided recommendations for further engagement of women in the service of preventing and combating violent extremism. This conference brought together representatives of civil society and various European institutions and beyond.
