Yesterday, the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) successfully held the second Local Citizen Consultation as part of the REACH project in Gjakovë, at Hotel Çarshia e Jupave. This consultation brought together policymakers, experts, and engaged citizens to discuss critical issues affecting Kosovo’s future, with a special focus on governance, integration, and sustainability.
The event featured three key sessions, each led by distinguished experts in their respective fields. Jeta Loshaj provided insights on the rule of law, emphasizing its role in strengthening democracy, ensuring justice, and enhancing institutional trust. Adelina Hasani addressed Kosovo’s EU accession process, detailing the necessary reforms and challenges on the path to integration. Granit Gashi led the discussion on environmental challenges, highlighting local sustainability efforts and policy solutions to address pressing ecological concerns.
Through expert presentations and interactive discussions, participants engaged in a productive exchange of ideas, contributing to the formulation of actionable recommendations. The consultation underscored the importance of civic engagement in shaping policies that reflect the aspirations of Kosovo’s citizens.
