The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in conjunction with the Fondation Jean-Jaurés organized an event discussion in Paris on bilateral relations between Kosovo and France as well as the EU’s integration prospects of the Western Balkans in the light of enlargement process. Panel of the event by composed by KCSS team - KCSS Chair of Board, Dr Florian Qehaja and two KCSS Researchers, Plator Avdiu and Skender Perteshi, while it was moderated by Director of the Balkan Observatory at the Fondation Jean-Jaurès, Sébastien Gricourt.
The event discussion was attended by representatives of the President of the French Republic, French Prime Minister, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Ministry of Defence of France, Embassy of Kosovo in France, former French diplomats, journalists and civil society organisations based in Paris. The discussion was focused on the issue of rule of law, dialogue with Serbia, visa liberalisation process for Kosovo, security context in Kosovo and Western Balkans as well as defence related issues.
The event discussion in Paris was held under the Chatham House Rules. This project is financed by the Open Society Foundation in the framework of the KCSS project: “Building bridges: Europeanization through the enhancement of cooperation between KCSS and Think-tanks in EU”.
