On 23/02/2023, KCSS signed a cooperation agreement with theMunicipality of Vitia for the creation of Community Forums for Public Interest (CFPI).
The Mayor of Vitia Municipality, Mr. Sokol Haliti expressed his willingness to implement the activities of the FIERC project, stressing that inter-ethnic cooperation and equal treatment of citizens in the Municipality of Vitia are a priority. The mayor of the municipality of Kllokot, Mr. Vladan Bogdanović supported this initiative and showed willingness to cooperate with the municipality of Vitia for the improvement of inter-ethnic relations, by forming the Community Forums for Public Interest. Furthermore, the municipality of Vitia and the municipality of Kllokot signed a cooperation agreement to work together in offering services for the citizens of both municipalities.
Community Forums in the Public Interest (CFPI) represent one of the main components of the FIERC project. They will serve as a platform for meetings between municipal structures and community representatives to discuss common issues and challenges of the communities living in the municipalities of Kosovo. CFPIs also aim to facilitate community communication and access to municipal decision-making authorities, with a primary focus on advancing inter-ethnic relations and cooperation.
This meeting was organized within the project "Promotion of Inter-Ethnic Relations and Cooperation" (FIERC), implemented by the Kosovo Centre for Security Studies (QKSS), in partnership with the New Social Initiative (NSI), financed by the Stability Pact Fund. of the Federal Foreign Ministry of Germany.
