Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in cooperation with the Debate Center, has started today the three-day training with youth representatives from the municipalities of Gjilan, Prizren, Podujeva, Viti, Pristina, Fushë Kosovë, Peja and Mitrovica. The aim of the training is to provide participants with a broader knowledge about the phenomenon of violent extremism in Kosovo and the importance of community resilience in preventing this phenomenon.
Furthermore, the training focuses on providing knowledge for the development of critical thinking and research methods. Upon completion of the training, training participants will work on short research papers on resilience factors in their respective Municipalities, through which a campaign will be launched to raise awareness on the importance of community resilience and its role in prevention of violent extremism.
This training is organized in the framework of the two-year project "Building Sustainability: Communities against Violent Extremism" which is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Pristina through the MATRA fund.
