Workshop on Peacebuilding Dialogue: December 7–8
The Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) and the Kosovo Institute for Research and Analysis (KIRA) organized a workshop on peacebuilding dialogue, held on December 7 and 8, in Hotel Sirius, Prishtinë/Priština. The workshop brought together youth and peacebuilding experts to address the lingering wounds of past conflicts and lay the foundation for a future rooted in understanding and collaboration.
The workshop focused on mediation techniques, peace education, and fostering interfaith and interethnic dialogue. Interactive sessions and guided discussions were organized and the participants explored ways to heal divisions and promote sustainable peace.
By empowering youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead peace initiatives, the event aimed to inspire a culture of reconciliation and mutual respect across communities.
Key themes included:
Mediation Techniques: Practical tools to navigate and resolve conflicts.
Peace Education: Cultivating values of understanding, empathy, and non-violence.
Interfaith and Interethnic Dialogues: Building bridges between diverse communities.
These Peacebuilding Dialogues serve as a cornerstone in the journey toward reconciliation and unity. By addressing the scars of the past, the workshop fosters a commitment to peace, encouraging youth to spearhead initiatives that prioritize dialogue, respect, and cooperation.
Together, KCSS and KIRA reaffirm their dedication to empowering communities and ensuring a brighter, more harmonious future for all.
