At the KCSS Office in Prishtina, the FIERC project announced the six winning projects as part of its "Youth Development and Cooperation Support Scheme (YDCSS)". These projects emphasize youth participation and collaboration, and will be carried out across five Kosovo municipalities: Shterpca, Gracanica, Lipjan, Mitrovica, and Kamenica.

Selected Projects Include:

  • “Technology Enthusiasts Project” by Kosovo Youth Assembly, Lipjan
  • “TechConnect” by BONEVET Foundation, Kamenica
  • “MultiTechCraft” by BONEVET Foundation, Mitrovica
  • “16 Days of Activism” by Centar Manjinske Zajednice, Gracanica
  • “Dialogue for a Better Future” by NGO Strong Start, Shterpca
  • “The Tourist Maps Project” by an informal youth group from Shterpca Municipality

Set to kick off on October 1st, these projects will run for two months. They offer a mix of activities: technical trainings like laser cutting, 3D printing, IT sessions, soft skills development, and more community-centric activities such as human rights advocacy and street actions. To bolster these initiatives, each project has received a grant of 1,500 euros.

The selection of the six winning projects was based on an open and competitive process jointly administered by KCSS and NSI. An open call was widely published and disseminated on various social media platforms during August and September, inviting young adults from the six municipalities to submit their project ideas. To ensure a more inclusive process, the application deadline was extended twice. The projects underwent rigorous evaluation against the call's criteria by KCSS and NSI, resulting in the selection of these six winning projects.

FIERC project is implemented by the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS), in partnership with the New Social Initiative (NSI), and funded the Stability Pact Fund of the German Federal Foreign Office.
